Creating Historical Narratives: Investigating the Death of Lincoln

In this lesson, students will be investigating the death of Abraham Lincoln through the use of questioning, investigating primary sources, and writing narratives. Students will be able to engage in critical thinking as they corroborate and reconcile contradictory information in primary sources. While this is a social studies lesson, English Language Arts is a heavy focus as well. Everyone knows about how Lincoln was killed, but students will be able to dive deeper into the assassination and investigate what really happened.
