In this lesson, students investigate and examine primary sources related to the use of the atomic bomb. The students will also analyze the societal impact of the atomic bomb through images and other sources.  By participating in response groups, the students work collaboratively to answer critical questions about the American culture in the 1950’s.  The lesson ends with the students writing about the American government’s involvement in protecting its citizens from a nuclear war.
